International Relations Think Tank: Security and prosperity are two very important areas for any country, and the survival of governments and the progress of societies to the highest possible level are related to these areas. Security issues have been more important for countries that are specifically located in the Middle East region, as well as extra-regional countries whose interests are dependent on the Middle East. But the main issue is that the countries of the Middle East are facing various issues in the field of national interests and goals, and internal and external security problems, due to their specific ideals and strategies, as well as the existence of national and racial characteristics. Policy-making to deal with these issues at the same time is a very difficult, costly and time-consuming task; And as a result, achieving high levels of security and prosperity for many regional governments requires great care and effort. One of the most important factors of the importance of the Middle East for the international system is that this region has become the center of conflict of interests and interaction between big and small powers. In fact, the historical presence of world powers in this region, in addition to the globalization process, has increased disputes, conflict of interests and conflicts. As a result, it has made it more difficult to solve security problems in various economic, social, military, environmental, etc. dimensions.
All these cases make the competition to achieve national interests, economic development, national security and internal and external security become important issues for any country, and prioritizing between them will not be easy. However, one of the most important reasons for success in micro and macro policies and reaching a level of development and progress is the ability to make the right policy according to the prioritization of various issues (security and economy) according to the correct spatial and temporal conditions. In general, improving the level of security along with development for welfare has been the most important goal of countries. If we pay attention to the performance of the countries of the region and the world throughout history, the strategy of the countries has been one thing: to develop in the shadow of internal and external security. This short word is enough to know the role of security in development! But the conditions of the Middle East are special, in this region, as it was said, the internal and external issues of the countries are strongly related to each other, and prioritization is a difficult task. We should know that countries either unite with each other (strategic and strategic alliance) based on their priorities as well as temporal and spatial conditions, internal and external, or engage in a short or long conflict, because they do not have a special case for regional and international convergence with each other, and are more involved in confrontations. Ideological and conflicts become in the discussion of interests, and these problems pile up and cause insecurity, war, and the slowness of pursuing development plans and other issues for countries (especially in the Middle East) to arise and confuse the countries. There are many threats and opportunities in this region, and it is necessary to address and pay attention to the categories of opportunities and threats at the same time, and it is necessary to remove the weakness and strengthen the strengths from within the country.
Our country, Iran, is known as an important and strong country in the Middle East, however, it has strengths and weaknesses that must be taken into account in order to improve the economic situation. The main problem of the current research is to deal with these strengths and weaknesses.
